Bayern Munich defended their German Cup title, defeating Eintracht Frankfurt by 1-0 on Saturday evening.

Claudio Pizarro’s header to a Ze Roberto cross shortly before the hourmark remained the lone goal of the day, in an entertaining final Cup final.

It is the first title in Germany for Iranian midfielder Ali Karimi, who still has not recovered from his injury and watched the game from the stands together with the as well injured Sebastian Deisler.
