Javad Nekounam and hist teammates will be playing Trabzonspor from Turkey. The draw of the UEFA Cup was held today and at least three Iranian players will be playing in the UEFA Cup this season.

Hamed Kavianpour, a new signing of Kayserispor will have a difficult match as they will face AZ Alkmaar from Holland. AZ Alkmaar became 2nd in the Dutch competition and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup two years ago.

Iranian born and German under 20 striker Ashkan Dejagah will have to play Odense BK from Denmark.

And in the last weeks Rahman Rezaei has been talking with Livorno. If he signs a contract there he will also play in the UEFA Cup as Livorno plays SV Pasching from Austria.
