Iranian export Rahman Rezaei’s move to Livorno finally appears to take place, ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ confirmed today.

The 31-year-old defender will leave Messina after three seasons which is the outcome of intense negotiations between the two clubs on Tuesday. The official confirmation of the transfer is expected for Wednesday.

Rezaei debuted in Serie A for Perugia in November 2001 and appeared in 108 Serie A (five goals) and 37 Serie B (two goals) matches for Perugia and Messina since then.

Livorno are scheduled to clash with Austrian club Superfund Pasching in the first round of UEFA Cup (Spetember 14).
