BWFC, BOLTON
IRANIAN WORLD Cup star Andranik Teimourian became Sam Allardyce’s latest acquisition when he signed a two-year deal with Bolton Wanderers Football Club, after the Club obtained a work permit for the player.
The 23 year-old defensive-midfielder, who was signed from Abu Moslem, played at every youth level for Iran before making his full debut for his country last year in a 4-0 victory against Libya.
He played in all three of Iran’s World Cup group games and has won a total of 11 caps, scoring one goal.
Wanderers’ manager Sam Allardyce said: “Andranik is a talented player and somebody who I believe will be able to adapt to the tough demands of the Barclays Premiership.
“He impressed a lot of people during the World Cup and I am delighted that we’ve beaten off a lot of competition to get his signature.”
Meanwhile, Teimourian has been named in Iran’s squad for their Asian Cup qualifiers against Korea and Syria.
