Fereydoon Zandi could be in the starting formation of the second Bundesliga division club TuS Koblenz for Friday’s match against Kickers Offenbach, Kicker sports magazine reported Thursday.
Koblenz coach Milan Sasic is contemplating to use the offensive football qualities of the 27-year-old German-Iranian midfielder.
Zandi, who signed a one-year deal with TuS Koblenz earlier this month, joined the southwest German club on a free transfer.
A member of Iran’s 2006 World Cup squad, Zandi’s contract with the German Bundesliga team FC Kaiserslautern was not renewed at the end of last season.
Koblenz is currently placed ninth in the 18-team second division table standings.
