Two-time defending champions Iran have lined up a week-long training camp in Brazil from November 4 before the upcoming Doha Asian Games.
Iran, who defeated Kuwait 2-0 in 1998 to lift the Asian Games title for the third time and defended it four years later by beating Japan 2-1, are also set to play a few warm-up friendlies during this camp against as yet unidentified opponents.
The team will fly back to the UAE for another friendly with the Emirates u-23s on November 14 before two matches against the Bahraini u-23s on November 22 and 24 help coach Brazilian Rene Simoes fine-tune the side before they embark on their hunt for a treble in Doha.
Iran have been drawn in the relatively easier Group D with India, Hong Kong and Maldives for the Doha Games.
